Generating E certificate has been popular recently as a response to COVID-19, especially during the period when most education and office operations were carried out online. Autocrat, a Google Sheets plugin, has done an outstanding job of easing the workloads of teachers and office employees. With a few easy clicks, Autocrat helps you to generate certificates, organizes them, and even delivers them to the right email addresses. Autocrat could also be used to automatically provide Google Forms quiz certificates to participants, so that they earn a certificate of participation or a certificate of merit according to their grades. Overall, the possibilities of this extension are wide, and it can be used to send mass emails with any specific data.

Using this extension is really straightforward
We’ve broken it down into steps for you to follow.

    STEP – 1

Create a certificate template by importing an image into Google Slides or Google Docs.

The simplest way to create a template is to paste a predesigned picture by

Right clicking on the slide > Change Background > Select image

Remember to add in Tags like

    <<Name>>

    STEP – 2

Open a Google Forms response or import an Excel file ( file > import option ).

It is not possible to add an extension to an Excel file by opening it with sheets. Use the import option instead.

    STEP – 3 ( Installing Autocrat )

Click on Add-ons > Get Add-ons and install Autocrat from the Google Workspace Market

    STEP – 4 ( Using Autocrat )

    • From the Add-ons click on Autocrat and click open to open up the setup window
    • Create a new job by clicking the button below

    • Give a Job name

    • Choose Template – the slide which we made earlier

    • Select your sheet and your tag will be automatically listed

    • Type in your preferred file name

    • Choose your destination folder

    • You could skip the dynamic folder and merge option if you like

    • As you prefer change your preference in the Share docs & Send email option. Remember to include Email tag if you have the email id of participants

    • You also have the option to run this when some one adds new entry to form or run on a Timer

    • After saving you could either run it or let it run automatically when triggered

This way you could effortlessly send some one certificate and keep track of those individual certificates.
