We’ve all been enthralled by Microsoft’s new operating system, which will be accessible to consumers at the start of the holiday season this year. Despite the fact that a copy of an early build of the operating system was leaked online, reaction on the changes in design and layout was mixed. This was mostly because to their UI resemblance to those of Mac OS and Chrome OS.
However, it is the backstage development of Microsoft’s operating system that has taken us by surprise. Many of the issues that plagued Windows 10 were also absent in the leaked version. During Microsoft’s Windows 11 launch event on June 24th, they made it very clear that they have done some serious under-the-hood improvements.
Android App support and Auto HDR was one of the main highlights of their event.
Is My PC obsolete ?
Take a deep breath people, because the way you use your computer isn’t going to change anytime soon. Microsoft has also announced the end of support date for Windows 10 (October 14, 2025). Except for a few exceptions, all PCs released after 2015 that are 8th generation or later will be officially supported by Windows 11. There are several other reasons why you should remain calm.
- Microsoft has edited windows 11 requirement documentation twice and made millions of PC officially unsupported, which also include their own Surface Devices.
- Windows 10 is not going away anytime soon. Yes, we have all seen how long they provided support for Windows 7, after all Windows is the most widely used computer operating system, and they will try to keep it at least for a while longer.
- Windows may lower their criteria since so many older generation devices can still perform much more than the later released generation chipsets and devices.
- Given innovations in connectivity, the chances of switching to a cloud OS seems to be rather high. It’s already there in the technology industry, and it won’t be long before it’s available to the general public. That mean the specifications of your PC or laptop will be almost insignificant.
- There are many other alternatives available. Also, innovation in the OS market is expanding, which will always be useful for consumers.
Wanna know why you won't be getting Windows 11? (Officially)
Microsoft has aggravated the issue by releasing a constrained PC Check App that checks your system and displays the disappointing message that it isn’t Windows 11 compactable. However, the app does not accept a lot of devices that are still compactable. Simple changes in the BIOS, such as enabling the TPM (Trusted Platform Module) module, could save you a lot of money.
XDA has discovered a new open-source app called “WhyNotWin11” that can be downloaded. While that app sets off flags for Windows 10’s “App & browser control,” it also accomplishes a lot more than Microsoft’s attempt.
For the time being, you can gain insight into any potential PC limitations. Let’s see how this all plays out over the next four months before Microsoft releases Windows 11 to the general public.
