Given the fact that Apple recently released the iPhone 13, 13 Mini, 13 Pro, and 13 Pro Max last month, the tech giant is preparing for its next presentation on Monday, Oct. 18 at 10 A.M. PT, 1 P.M. ET, 6 P.M. BST, 10:30 P.M. IST and Oct. 19 at 4 A.M. AEDT. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman earlier speculated an October event, saying “there will be two events” from Apple this October, as usual, with the second event perhaps focusing on new Macs, additional iPads, and new MacBook Pros with an upgraded version of Apple’s M1 CPU: M1X Apple Silicon. The new devices follow last year’s M1-powered Macs, which were first in Apple’s lineup not to use an Intel CPU. Instead, Apple is integrating processors that are similar to the ones that power the iPhone, and they have received excellent feedback so far.
Apple’s latest Mac macs already have a better battery life and can run iPhone and iPad apps. This next generation is likely to utilize Apple’s improved M1X CPUs, which are said to be faster and may go so far as to replace the “Pro” performance devices that are still powered by Intel chips. Rather than the Mac, Gurman expects the release of the AirPods 3 by the end of this year, as well as the release of various other products in 2022, including the new AirPods Pro, a redesigned iPad Pro, and MacBook Airs with Apple Silicon.
Stay up-to-date
The digital events hosted by Apple are incredibly quickly, but they’re also jam-packed with content. Expect great production values as well. Apple created a multi-story faux house for the unveiling of the HomePod Mini last year. Last month, it enlisted Oscar-winning filmmaker Kathryn Bigelow to showcase the iPhone 13 Pro’s photography capabilities.
Expected Products
Mac and Macbook lineup
Apple revealed last year that it would manufacture its own processor, codenamed the M1, to power the Mac. Since then, rumours have circulated that Apple would shortly unveil a new CPU for the next MacBook Pro or Mac Pro. Apple had already unveiled a new M1-powered iMac, but it was exclusively for the smaller 24-inch model. Apple is working on CPU upgrades for both the Mac Mini and the 27-inch iMac, according to Bloomberg.
Apple might possibly be working on a less expensive version of its Pro Display XDR, which debuted in 2019. A cheaper Apple monitor was in “early development,” according to Bloomberg in January
AirPods 3
According to a recent story from Bloomberg, Apple’s AirPods may have an upgrade this year. The AirPods 3 is expected to offer similar characteristics to the AirPods Pro, including spatial audio support, a shorter stem, interchangeable tips, and a smaller charging case, as per sources. Here’s what we’re hoping to see when the AirPods 3 are announced, as well as how we think they’ll compare to the AirPods Pro.
However, rumors and speculation aside, we never know what they may have planned for the presentation.
