On this year’s Independence Day, ola electric mobility pvt ltd revealed the S1 E-scooters. Initially priced at ₹99,999 while S1 Pro model is priced up to ₹129,999, the scooter is expected to be delivered in early October. The scooter will also be subsidised in order to make it more affordable.
Bhavish Agarwal, the CEO and founder of Bengaluru-based ride-hailing startup Ola, has received praises from all across the Country for the company’s entry into the EV industry with the launching of the company’s electric scooter range.
They were able to create a buzz about the product even before it was released or disclosed.
Which was one of the main reason that they were able to received more than 100,000 pre-bookings in the first 24 hours.

Ather Energy’s Tarun Mehta, Paytm’s Vijay Shekhar Sharma, and Kalaari Capital’s Vani Kola have all praised Agarwal’s initiative.
In addition, Aggarwal wishes all two-wheelers sold in the country to be electric. He stated that the sector must invest in order to harness the ecosystem and transform India into an EV leader.

Customers could order its e-scooters starting on September 8th, with delivery coming in October throughout 1,000 cities and towns around the nation.
The CEO of the company said
“We are building the world’s largest tubular factory here in india this factory will have 15 of the world’s capacity of two wheelers we will produce 10 million scooters a year or one scooter every two seconds and this factory that we are building is also going to be the biggest building in india it can fit within itself both the mumbai and the delhi airports this scale is the only way we bring this revolution here fast and make electric two-wheelers accessible to everybody”
Ola will sell its scooters via an omnichannel model that includes both online and offline experience facilities, as it is in the early stages of developing. Over the next three months, it plans to open one experience centre within every city.
Many people feel that the S1 and S1 Pro are industry leaders with its best-in-class range, speed, and price can be able to revolutionise India’s EV market.
